Tuition
One of the aims of the LGMA is to assist in the musical and instrumental education of the mandolin and guitar and this is one of the most important parts of the work of the LGMA. This education covers all levels, all ages and all abilities.
We run weekly classes for both children and adults in Mandolin and Guitar and also one off workshops on different aspects of playing performing.

We encourage players to take part in many musical events, competitions, ensembles and exams. For more details see the exam board websites:

To promote the instruments to young people we run school visits where the pupils are able to try out the instruments and see how they get on. For adult students we run Come and Try workshops to give this same approach at events such as Celtic Connections.
All of our tuition is carried out by experienced and well trained tutors who are fully disclosure checked.
