Chris Acquavella masterclass and concert Christopher Acquavella is a classical mandolinist/guitarist currently residing in San Diego, California. He started playing guitar at the age of ten, studying with Robert Hoth and Peter Pupping. In 2001, Chris directed all of his attention to the classical mandolin. He graduated First Class Honors with a BMus (Hons) degree in Performance from Trinity College of Music in London, England. He studied under the instruction of Alison Stephens and participated in Master Class with Caterina Lichtenberg.

How to Practise more Efficiently Workshop Many people ask, "How can I practise effectively, what should I practise, for how long should I practise, should I concentrate on just a few bars or play through the whole piece?"
There are methods and ideas that can enhance the way you practise, and this workshop aims to provide some answers.
The following aspects will be covered:
selecting what to practise,
analysing the problems to focus on,
ideas on solving different musical and technical problems, and
suggestions for making your practise even more effective in the future.

LGMA Residential, Wiston Lodge, 16th - 18th May, 2008

The weekend included an orchestra comprising delegates and tutors; individual tuition, techniques classes and evening "get-together" and
workshops. The topic for the weekend was "Cross Over".

Celtic Connections 2008
For the last few years the Lanarkshire Guitar and Mandolin
Association has run the mandolin workshops at Celtic Connections, Scotland's premier winter music festival, which takes place in the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow.
