Wiston Lodge Residential 2008

The LGMA is again running a residential weekend at Wiston Lodge. The tutors this year will be Jochen Roß , Graeme Scott, Nigel Gatherer and Barbara Pommerenke-Steel.

There will be an orchestra comprising delegates and tutors; individual tuition, techniques classes and evening "get-together" and workshops. The topic for the weekend is "Cross Over".

Past Workshops

BMG Festival & Rally 2008

Hosted in Scotland for the first time! February/March 2008. Participants can choose four from a sleection of 15 workshops for fretted instruments. Read more on the rally page.

Celtic Connections 2008

For the last few years the Lanarkshire Guitar and Mandolin Association has run the mandolin workshops at Celtic Connections, Scotland's premier winter music festival, which takes place in the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow.
This year we will run the following four 90-minute workshops:

Come & Try the Mandolin: Sunday 20th January 2008, 11.00am, Clyde Foyer book online
Mandolin for Beginners 1: Sunday 20th January 2008, 1.30pm, Clyde Foyer book online
Mandolin for Beginners 2: Saturday 2nd February 2008, 11.00am, Lomond Foyer book online
Mandolin for Players: Sunday 3rd February 2008, 1.30pm, Clyde Foyer book online

Tickets are £6 which includes use of an instrument and expert tuition.
