Rock & Pop Guitar Class

For Young People aged 12 to 14 years on Thursday evenings.

Hillhouse Parish Church Hall, Clarkwell Road

The classes are run by Calum Harbison and Michael Paterson in 3 blocks of 10 weeks in the year.

We cover a range of pop / rock music; from recent music (eg. Kaiser Chiefs, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Robbie Williams, Foo Fighters and Oasis) to classic rock/ pop acts (eg. Guns 'n' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Deep Purple and Simon & Garfunkel).

We mostly use chord windows and guitar tablature and we cover most aspects of basic rhythm and lead guitar.
Some of the young people have acoustic guitars and some have electric ones.

The Beginners course will begin with the basics of guitar technique and you will learn to play music from classic rock acts up to the latest bands.

The Improvers and Intermediate classes are also held on a Thursday evening.

For more information or to book a place, contact Calum Harbison (01698-425326) or Ian Steel (01698-457518). Organised by the Lanarkshire Guitar & Mandolin Association
